BELLEVUE, Wash. – November 1, 2018 – The United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union is holding its Plenipotentiary Meeting in Dubai, UAE, and ITU Members just completed votes for most of its leadership team over the next several years. The Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) fosters international cooperation and solidarity in the delivery of technical assistance and in the creation, development and improvement of telecommunication and ICT equipment and networks in developing countries.
Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, a U.S. citizen, was elected by the ITU Membership as the Director of the Development Sector.
