| As 5G wireless cellular networks become more of an open innovation platform distributed across many different areas, organizations are grappling with an increasing level of cyber-attacks. The growing sophistication and complexity of 5G network architecture greatly expands the threat surface for an entire mobile network with potential entry points at the level of identity management, authentication, onboarding, authorization, and so much more. At the same time, the addition of cloud and edge computing open additional avenues at the level of virtualized network functions, containers, and micro services.
