Alex Interrante, Director of Hardware Engineering for Samsung Electronics America Technology Solutions, based in Plano, Texas is responsible for hardware product management including the creation of customer solutions and product deployment strategies for wireless network equipment in North America. Prior to this, Alex worked in Samsung R&D as Hardware Senior Manager where he directed ASIC and board level hardware development for cellular basestations.
Before joining Samsung in 2001, Alex worked at Nortel Networks and Bell Northern Research where he again led developments at the circuit board and device level in support of wireless and wireline communications businesses.
With over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he has been fortunate to work on the architecture and design of many generations of wireless communications equipment. His innovative research in RF, mixed signal, and high speed digital technology has resulted in numerous corporate inventions and issuance of ten patents. He has also been involved in creation and standardization of open basestation interfaces.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Technology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
