Danny Tseng

Director of Technical Marketing

Bio

Danny Tseng is a Director of Technical Marketing at Qualcomm Technologies. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the mobile semiconductor and communications industry, and he leads the 5G/6G technology marketing efforts at Qualcomm. Prior to joining Qualcomm, he held leadership roles in product management, product marketing, and applications engineering in the US, China, and South Korea.

Gavin Horn

Sr. Director, Engineering

Bio

Dr. Gavin Horn is with the Wireless R&D group at Qualcomm Technologies. Since 2014, he has been leading the 5G and subsequently 6G systems architecture design, evaluation, and standardization including network architecture, security, slicing, edge, cloud-native, virtualization, and radio interface protocols.  From 2008-2014, he worked on the development of LTE-Advanced attending 3GPP WGs including SA2, RAN3 and RAN2 from Release 9 to Release 12.

Hemanth Sampath

Vice President, Engineering

Bio

Hemanth Sampath is the VP of engineering at Qualcomm, driving expansion of 5G/6G into new devices and use-cases such as XR/metaverse, cloud gaming, IOT and private networks. He also leads the Qualcomm University Relations Platforms program, enabling educators to incorporate Snapdragon AI, Robotics and XR spaces platforms across research projects and courses. From 2009-2019, he served as the Wi-Fi R&D systems engineering lead, shaping 802.11 standards and core technologies like MU-MIMO and Mesh, and working with Qualcomm Ventures on monetization opportunities. From 2004-2008, he held engineering leadership roles on 4G (UMB) modem and standards. He received the 2013 Qualcomm IP Excellence Award and holds 298 US patents. Prior to Qualcomm, he worked at Marvell Semiconductors and was a member of the early technology team at a startup Iospan Wireless.

John Kuzin

Vice President, Spectrum Policy and Regulatory Counsel

Bio

John W. Kuzin is Vice President of Spectrum Policy and Regulatory Counsel with Qualcomm Incorporated. John oversees Qualcomm’s global spectrum policy working closely with the company’s regional spectrum leads, business leads, and worldwide R&D teams. He also represents Qualcomm on regulatory matters before the FCC, ISED Canada, and other agencies. His areas of expertise include new spectrum allocations, licensed and unlicensed spectrum regulations, 5G and 6G technology, RF equipment authorization, positioning technologies, Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything, unmanned aircraft systems, and mobile device accessibility.

Ofir serves as the Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm Israel Ltd. where he leads the Qualcomm Edgewise Suite, which is the result of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s acquisition of Cellwize.

 

Ofir brings over 20 years of executive-level experience and domain expertise in building and scaling high-tech startups, leading them to commercial success and market leadership. As Chief Executive Officer of Cellwize, he designed the vision and successful execution of the company’s strategy for its innovative RAN automation and orchestration solutions. Prior to Cellwize, Ofir co-founded and served as VP, Product at Pontis which was acquired by Amdocs (NASDAQ:DOX). Before founding Pontis, he served in multiple leadership positions at Comverse, which was acquired by Mavenir in 2017
