On December 19, 2025, the White House issued a Presidential memorandum outlining America’s commitment to winning the 6G race. Among several items, President Trump’s new “Winning the 6G Race” memo orders federal systems out of the 7.125–7.4 GHz band so it can be cleared for full‑power commercial 6G, launches studies of 2.69–2.9 & 4.4–4.94 GHz, and directs diplomatic efforts to lock in U.S. 6G leadership at WRC‑27.
