On September 28, 2023 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a draft of its Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) seeking comment on proposed rules relating re-classifying broadband Internet access service under Title II of the Communications Act of 1934. This action is commonly referred to as “net neutrality” and would re-instate rules previously adopted in 2015.
