V2X Americas is unique – it is focused on the digital infrastructurerequired for next generation connected vehicles and autonomous transportation -- the high capacity, low-latency connectivity, computing, operating systems and innovation for vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-infrastructure and vehicle-to-cloud applications.
Apostolos (Tolis) Papathanassiou, Senior Principal Engineer, Next Generation and Standards, Intel will be representing 5G Americas and speaking on
Driving with 5G Standards
From today’s low-bandwidth safety applications, C-V2X will accelerate with 5G New Radio to provide ultra-low latency and high reliability for critical communications enabling direct communications (V2V). In addition to broadcast, 5G NR will also support unicast and multicast transmission modes to improve the system efficiency in 5G deployment scenarios. As operators upgrade to a new 5G Core, other devices (V2N, V2I) will benefit from new architecture like network slicing and MEC. Essential security features will continue to develop in 3GPP Release 16. Learn more about the future on the road to 5G as the 3GPP standards develop, 5G network deployments expand, and C-V2X becomes reality:
