Mr. Michael J. (Mike) Finley is Qualcomm’s President of North America.
He was previously Senior Vice President of Global Business Development for Qualcomm QCT until August 2014.
He has nearly 30 years of experience in wireless telecommunications, including more than 20 years of executive leadership for companies such as Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, and AirTouch Cellular.
Mr. Finley served as President of the West Region at Sprint Nextel from 2006 to 2008 and was a Senior Vice President of Sprint Corporation. He joined Nextel in 2002 as Area Vice President of Southern California and served as its Senior Vice President of General Business for the U.S.
Prior to joining Nextel he was a Senior Vice President of Wingcast, a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Qualcomm which developed telematics products for Ford vehicles.
From 1993 to 2001, he was President of Verizon Wireless in Southern California, Vice President and General Manager in Sacramento and Vice President of Sales in Ohio for AirTouch Cellular. He had previously worked with Cellular One and McCaw Cellular.
He began his career in communications in San Diego in 1985 as a Co-Founder of Celluland, a national franchise which created an alternative distribution approach. He has been a Director of Boingo Wireless, Inc. since August 6, 2013 and a Director of MMRGlobal, Inc., since October 2011.

He is a respected leader in the telecommunications industry, long-recognized for creating and growing businesses. Mr. Finley is a graduate of Creighton University with a BSBA in Marketing and the General Manager Program in Executive Education at Harvard Business School.
