Kevin Linehan is vice president in the Office of CTO for CommScope, responsible for monitoring and analyzing wireless industry trends, technologies and standards to provide input and guidance to strategy and advanced product development. He is also responsible for the scouting, evaluation and introduction of emerging technologies through collaborative innovation and strategic alliances.
During his nearly 25 years at CommScope, Kevin has worked in various design and management positions including Director of Research and Development for base station antennas, where he led the development of multi-band antennas and remote antenna tilt technology. He has managed various strategic partnerships that have pioneered new innovations such as active antennas and lensed multi-beam antennas. Kevin initiated and co-chaired the NGMN committee that developed the first industry standards for base station antennas (BASTA) and currently serves on the board of the Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) Industry Consortium.
He received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he was a research fellow in the Electromagnetics Research Lab. Kevin holds 11 US patents.
