Head of Mobile Networks and Technology Strategy, Principal Consultant, Ericsson North America
Hossam H’mimy is Head of Mobile Networks and Technology Strategy for Ericsson in North America, which includes the radio, core network, transport and backbone for wireless and wireline broadband networks. He is also a Principal Solution Consultant in the company’s North American CTO office.
Prior to his current role, Dr. H’mimy served in various senior level positions at Ericsson in technical solutions, business development, service delivery and technical sales support. H’mimy joined Ericsson in 1996 from Southern Methodist University where he was a researcher with the Electrical Engineering department. From 1990 till 1993 he was a lecturer with the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Egypt.
Dr. H’mimy is adjunct associate professor for the department of Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he has been teaching advanced topics in wireless communication courses for the telecomm graduate program since 2000.
Dr. H’mimy holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. He has published more than 15 technical papers in international journals and conferences and holds 10 US and international patents, all in the field of wireless communications systems. He is a senior member of IEEE and serve as Board of directors in IEEE Communication and vehicular technology Society Dallas chapter since 2010.
